Mag Meter Manholes from Tracom
Our fiberglass Mag Meter Manholes are made from Polyester Resin with Polyester Gel Coating, giving excellent corrosion resistance as a minimum. Mag Meter Manholes can be customized to use the right material for your application, including VinylEster Resin or a Resin-rich veil in lieu of gel coating.
Standard design calls for a flanged connection inside and outside, sized to your magnetic flow meter. Mag Meter monitoring is a non-contact flow monitoring technology that requires pressure in your effluent to meter flow. That’s why Tracom only uses the highest quality flanges, typically made from Hetron 922 Resin. Non-contact devices typically require less cleaning and maintenance than open-channel flow measurement.
Mag Meter Manhole Customization
When you purchase a mag meter manhole from Tracom, you’re packaging your project into a prefabricated magnetic flow meter monitoring system. Installation is quick, lowering the time spent in confined spaces. Tracom personalizes your MagMeter Mount for extreme ease of installation. Some customers ship the meter to our shop for fitting, then the meter is repacked for shipment with the manhole to the job site.
Magnetic Flow Meter Manholes arrive ready to set-in-place, with “ANSI 150lbs pattern” flanges outside for pipe attachment, as well as a polystyrene pad to place under the manhole when mounting. Inside is an OSHA compliant ladder, 2” NPT coupling penetration for wiring runs, interior flanges for mounting the mag meter, and FRP braces supporting the interior pipe.
Tracom Mag Meter Fiberglass Manholes come water-tight, so you can easily isolate your access point from groundwater. Filling the void space below your mag meter mounting point with grout (or sand topped with grout) provides weight to counter ground water buoyancy.
